New cabinet fronts, carefully measured.

When your cabinets have no existing hardware holes, placement deserves a deliberate plan. Consider the shape of the fronts, the proportions of the doors, and how the handles will line up across a run of drawers. We review the arrangement and template the mounting positions before drilling. Cabinet doors and drawer fronts should be installed and aligned first, so the hardware is fitted to their finished positions.

Replacing pulls starts with the mounting centers.

If your kitchen already has hardware, measure from the center of one screw hole to the center of the other. That dimension determines whether a new pull can use the existing holes. Overall handle length is a separate measurement. Share photos of the current hardware, any visible finish marks, and the new product specifications. Filling old holes, repairing damaged fronts, or refinishing cabinets is not automatically part of an installation quote.

One room can use more than one style.

Knobs on doors and pulls on drawers can work together. So can different pull lengths for narrow drawers, broad drawers, and tall pantry cabinets. Choose the sizes and finishes before the visit, and keep them labeled by location. At tight corners, consider the handle projection and the opening motion of neighboring fronts. A pleasing arrangement should also let you use the cabinets comfortably.

Count hardware, not screw holes.

Each knob, pull, or handle counts as one installed piece. A two-screw pull is still one piece. Count actual doors and working drawers, then list any fixed decorative fronts separately for review. Include the island and pantry if they are part of the job.

Prepare for the finishing visit.

Have the full hardware order on site, including manufacturer-supplied screws and instructions. Check for missing pieces and mismatched sizes before confirming readiness. Clear counters near the cabinets and make the doors and drawers accessible. If paint or refinishing is part of the project, follow the finisher’s guidance on when surfaces can be handled. Let us know about any change in the room’s readiness before the appointment.

BEFORE WE GET STARTED

Kitchen hardware questions.

Do you supply the kitchen knobs and pulls?

You purchase the hardware from your preferred retailer. We provide installation labor and review the selected pieces for the agreed cabinet layout. If you are unsure how many to order, share a room overview and your preliminary count.

Can you replace my old kitchen handles?

Yes, replacement hardware can be reviewed for installation. Matching hole spacing, cabinet condition, finish outlines, and any new drilling affect the scope. Send the existing and proposed hardware measurements before scheduling.

Does kitchen hardware installation include hinges or drawer slides?

This service focuses on cabinet knobs, pulls, and handles. Hinges, drawer-slide replacement, cabinet repairs, and appliance hardware are not assumed to be included. Identify other work separately so the scope stays clear.

How long will my kitchen take?

Most kitchens can be completed in one visit, usually within a few hours, depending on the number of pieces and the amount of new drilling. We discuss your specific layout and readiness before agreeing on the appointment.
